Take a trip along the Highway 416 wine and cider trail to Smokie Ridge Vineyard in Mountain, where retired veteran Smokie LeBlanc and his family have been serving up such commemorative wines as Soldier's Pride White and Battle Born Red for over a decade.
Here, you'll enjoy a sommelier-led introduction to an array of "Cold World" varietal wines and the foods best paired with them, followed by a stroll through the vineyard with the winemaker himself.
You'll then travel to Oxford Station to charming Green Gables Vines, where you'll learn about engineer Richard Deslandes' unique wine-making process and enjoy a flight of five wines paired with a cheese and vegetable platter.
Finally, you'll tour the rustic Stone Crop Acres Vineyard & Winery in Morrisburg to tip back some cold climate wines including a lovely dry rosé and – new this year – a trendy vinous cider.
