5 tips for a perfect bachelorette party wine tour during COVID-19
Planning a bachelorette party wine tour in Ottawa during COVID-19? At La Vida Local, your health and safety are our top priority as we work to carefully resume our wine tours according to the World Travel & Tourism Council’s #safetravels protocols and provincial guidelines. This is why, for the foreseeable future, our bachelorette wine tours will be limited to a maximum of eight guests.
1. Focus On The Bride
We curate private tours throughout the Ottawa Valley guaranteed to please because we focus on the bride from the get-go. Does she live for red wine? We’ll do a red-wine-themed tour. Maybe she loves bubbly? Then we’ll be sure to visit local wineries with sparkling wine offerings.
2. Book Your Tour ASAP
Since bachelorette parties compete for space at the wineries with weddings, prime weekend dates from July through October fill up fast. Book your tour as soon as you know the date of the bachelorette party to avoid disappointment.
3. Set A Budget
Having coordinated many bachelorette wine tours, we know how to save you money and can adapt to your budget. Instead of kicking off with a champagne toast consider serving cost-effective sparking wine to get the party started. If it's a hot day, may we suggest pineapple mimosas – our current fave – which also helps guests pace themselves for an afternoon of fun in the sun.
Food offerings – ranging from cheese and charcuterie to local specialties like maple chocolate – are provided at each tour stop by our fantastic partners, who easily accommodate your dietary restrictions. In addition, we can also arrange a full meal – typically a salad, main and dessert – along the way.
Complimentary cold drinks are provided on the bus. If you want to bring your own individually-packaged munchies on the bus, that’s cool too.
4. Bring Your Party Playlist
In between wine stops, catch up with your besties, give out wine-themed swag and sing along to your favourite tunes on our comfortable air-conditioned bus. Be sure to bring an AUX cable compatible with your phone and a playlist meaningful to the bride-to-be. Abba, Spice Girls and Beyoncé are tried and true classics; we’ve even had bride tribes belt out entire musicals. Pressed for time? We know the best spots for Instagram-worthy photos while winery hopping. Heck, we’ll even take your group shots for you, so no one is left out of the party pics.
At the end of the tour, we’ll take you home and pour tuck you safely into bed unless you want to keep the party going! In that case, we’ll happily drop you off at your favorite local patio, because being flexible and delivering awesome customer service is what we’re all about.
