Our Story
It all started over a bottle of rosé and charcuterie on a cottage deck. We realized making memories over good food and wine in the countryside has always been a shared source of great joy in our lives.
And so an adventure began. One that led us down country roads and into local farms and vineyards where we were always welcomed with open arms, and toasted with lovingly-prepared foods and wines.
We knew we were onto something. And it was something we needed to share with fellow locavores, their friends, family, and visitors to the Ottawa Valley.
Whether it's wine made from regionally-unique Frontenac grapes, craft-distilled vodka made from 100% locally-sourced ingredients, or a bag of satisfyingly squeaky, farm-fresh cheese curds, Eastern Ontario is home to countless one-of-a-kind flavours and experiences just waiting to be savoured and enjoyed.
A desire to be living the local life to the fullest inspired us to create La Vida Local. The joys of discovering what fresh delights await around every corner drive us to share these epicurean adventures with you.
